CONOVER, NC - Due to the success of his first Fans for Faith entry and the response from fans across the nation, Morgan Shepherd will field another fan-sponsored car at Bristol Motor Speedway next month.
Shepherd said fans can get their names on the car 1.25 inches high and 5 inches long for just $100 per name. At Daytona, nearly 50 individuals, companies, churches and others participated in the program.
"We had a lot of fans say that they wished we would do it every race," Shepherd said. "We aren't going to do that, but we will pick some special races from time to time where fans can get their name on the car."
Cindy Caldwell, the office manager for Shepherd's Victory in Jesus Racing program, said fans can send in their sponsorships until March 10 for the Bristol Fans for Faith entry.
Sponsorships can be sent to Victory in Jesus Racing, P.O. Box 623, Conover, NC 28613. Make checks or money orders payable to Victory in Jesus Racing and include a return mailing address.
Everyone who participates by sending in a sponsorship will receive a free Morgan Shepherd t-shirt and an autographed post card by mail. In addition to their name on the car, Caldwell said fans also will be recognized in a story on the team website.
Fans who want to up size their sponsorships can send in any amount over $100 and their decals will be doubled in size for every $100 donated.
