GALAX, VA - International country music recording artist Kellie Pickler and the Mountain Creek Harmony band will highlight this year's annual Morgan Shepherd Charitable Fund mission trip to the Virginia mountains, the team announced October 21.
Pickler, made famous by her performance on American Idol, will be the featured act during a 4 p.m. outdoor concert on December 14 in downtown Galax, Virginia. The concert is free and open to the public.
Other confirmed entertainers for the event include 2007-2008 Christian Comedian of the Year Barry McGee and The Mayberry Deputy, David Browning.
Guest speakers for the event include Morgan Shepherd, Performance Radio Network NASCAR commentator Mark Garrow and former NFL All-Pro "Bull" Bramlett.
The annual charity trip will begin with a private concert and breakfast at the PARC Workshop in Stuart, Virginia on the morning of December 14 where the charity will present the PARC students and clients with Christmas gift bags and financial support to help keep the training center for the mentally and physically disabled operating.
The afternoon session, which is open to the public, begins at 4 p.m. in the streets of Galax and will include a concert, free Christmas gift bags to the disabled and financially strained, as well as appearances by several NASCAR drivers and their race cars.
