NEWTON, IA - For the second time in as many weeks, Morgan Shepherd and his Faith Motorsports crew went home from the track with a Top 20 finish on Saturday.
The good thing is that with a few breaks along the way, Top 10 runs at ORP and Iowa were not out of the question.
"We really should have broke the Top 10 at Iowa," Shepherd said as he prepared for this weekend's road course at Watkins Glen. "If we wouldn't have had that problem toward the end we should have been able to get up there."
Even after a late-race caution for his spin, Shepherd was able to power back in the final laps to record a 19th place finish.
"Considering where we were a few weeks ago we are very happy," he said. "We aren't satisfied because we know we can do a lot better, but we are much happier than we were a couple weeks ago."
